Greetings to you all,
This week is a detailed glance at the past week... The tragedies and triumphs...
Let me first begin by saying that the concert we organized titled 'Chaos Invited' was a great success... Why you wonder? It's simple... Ritual played a whoooooping opening set and then Paranoid Earthling blew the hinges of the place... Then Stigmata arrived and did the only thing we know to do (without extending any apologies) - we left ashes in our wake.
It was certainly, without any doubt one of the coolest gigs we've ever played. The sounds were great, the atmosphere phenomenal, the energy and the crowd unparalleled and the bands ripping hellfire ![]()
What makes a good show a great one is very often not the hysterical antics and circus side shows illustrated by artistes... But it is the very stimulus... The heart of a gig... That which is the crowd. The energy they bleed and sow is what we reap and the audience that day was... Fuck man... It was your night. The Metalheads ruled the pit but... Yeah... BUT it was the women in vast numbers who proved that Metal flows in the veins of even the fairer sex... And boy did they depict their true Asian prowess, in every sense of the word!
The pit was brought to life by the vast majority of headbangers and metalheads who owned. However everyone there (save for some of the stakeholders and sponsors of the event who were there with their jaws stretched to the floor) were music enthusiasts who like their music a little different and heavily diverse... And they love the sweet smell of hell and the subtle nuances of heaven...
They love their music intelligent, and none of the 3 bands failed to impress, convert or deliver.
Hail to you all...

On a deeply sorrowful note Venus; Andrew's pet python and one of 891's prime mascots (check previous posts for info on Venus) tragically died day before yesterday. It was a shock to all of us, 'cos Veenee was a loveable and characteristic pet, she was beautiful and deadly, she was delicate but intense...
What I learned from this is that there are many things in life that we love to have and own. But sometimes we don't weigh the pros and cons enough before setting our plans into motion. We all loved Venus, but none of us knew enough about snakes to ensure and ascertain its survival. It was the climate (And in Sri Lanka right now the weather can't be any more royally motherfucked I swear) and the humidity that possibly led to her passing... But Venus wasn't an unhappy pet. She received an abundance of love, affection and sincere attention. She was a celebrity in the making and a pervert too... (See...why she fit perfectly at 891)
The light of the fact is this... Venus was and will always be an emblem of truth and joy for us, because we realized that religious freaks and ignorant sods condemn and hate snakes simply cos they don't understand anything about them. It's 'cos people fear them.
Venus loved her Metal and the bitch sure loved crawling into places all of us wished we could crawl into.
I feel a strange emptiness within, I can't explain it let alone define it. The feeling you get when you know you've lost something that will live in your memories forever but is strangely lost from your heart... From sensation... From touch...From sight.
Venus was Stigmata's mascot... And the most loved Metalhead python in the country I am certain. Andrew we sympathize with you, brother -we all loved her, but you were her keeper.
God speed your eternalness Veeeeneeee Girl...
We Love You...
These are dark fucking days that even hope can't veil.
Be Thou Forever Venus
